The new recipe includes 30% less sugar, the addition of orange peel and, finally, star anise replacing the traditional fennel. The art of kintsugi, literally "golden joinery", which spreads over the label, is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery, and it reminds us how from mistakes and imperfections, inimitable works can come to life, just like our sambuca.
