Information
Sotol is a traditional mexican spirit crafted from the Dasylirion plants that grow spontaneously in the Sierra of northern Mexico, among rattlesnakes that keep them good company.
PRODUCTION PROCESS: Harvesting of ripe Sotol plants, cooking for 3 days in underground oven, grinding in mill, natural fermentation in open tubs, double distillation in copper alembics.
ALCOHOL 42%
USE: Sotol can be used in mixing as a substitute for Mezcal and Tequila in all classic drinks (Margarita, Tommy's, Paloma, etc.), its specific characteristics will enrich the versions of these cocktails with particular smoky, slightly sweet and mineral notes.
TASTING NOTES:At the beginning it has smoky hints, accompanied by fruity notes such as cooked apple and burnt sugar, then the mouth is pervaded with mineral and earthy flavors. Very rustic, long and persistent.
